Female adder (Vipera berus), basking in the sun. Whilst it was in this location, in the adder enclosure, for several hours, its head was hidden for most of the time. This is the larger of the two females. Today, another photographer reported that he had seen a young adder; bringing the total, in the enclosure, to at least five.
