The erstwhile London & North Western Railway route from Cambridge to Oxford runs parallel to the ex-Great Western Railway lines for some distance beyond Oxford North Junction. The L&NW line originally terminated at Rewley Road station in Oxford on a site now occupied by the Said Business School.
