Eyres Monsell Neighbourhood
The Eyres Monsell neighbourhood comprises the entire Eyres Monsell Estate, together with the Saffron Lane Estate south of Southfields Drive.
It includes a large school, the Samworth Academy, and retail premises on The Exchange, Swinford Avenue, Hillsborough Road and Southfields Drive. Smaller schools are located within the Eyres Monsell Estate.

I joined Leicestershire Police in 2009. I have worked all my career in uniform in the City area covering Response Policing for the first 9 years and I have just completed a short stint on neighbourhood policing in the city centre. I am very pleased to join Neighbourhood Policing at Wigston Police Station covering the Saffron Estate (Freeman Ward). I am looking forward to the challenge and an opportunity to continue and build on the outstanding work that has been achieved by everyone within the local policing team and local community. Priorities
ASB - Due to number of incidents reported for off road bikes causing ASB in and around THE EXCHANGE PARK in Eyres Monsell a Problem Management Plan has been created.
Local officers are continuing to plan for the summer months where statistically we see the higher numbers of off-road bikes. This plan will include both preventing the issues in the first place but also reacting to reports of bikes being used. The local community can also report the users of these bikes through the Leicestershire Police website or CrimeStoppers.
DRUGS – Dealing/Taking. Reports and information have been received regarding drug misuse and cultivation. We assess this information and enforce at all opportunities. We recognise how this issue can blight a community and endeavour to reduce this issue.
In the last few months officers have continued to target known drug dealers and premises being used to store drugs. This has led to some significant finds that we will update on as soon as the judicial system allows. We would continue to ask that members of the public report drug dealing and usage either via the Leicestershire Police website or anonymously through CrimeStoppers
