This substantial wooden seat at the top of the public footpath from the village of Marldon looks out in the far distance to the granite rocks of Haytor on Dartmoor. Peaceful .... apart from the noise of the traffic on the Torbay Ring Road not far behind the photographer's position. Interpreting maps can mean imagining what sights as well as sounds might be experienced from a particular location.
