This is an Optare bus, operated by Quality Line, a bus company that not too many years ago was a coach concern only, but now operates several London bus routes, including one using double-deckers. Route 463 runs from Pollards Hill to Coulsdon South, calling at Clock House (Jack and Jill). The route number is derived by inheritance from a 1950s single-deck service between Coulsdon North and Clock House, which had the number 263. At present a twenty-minute daytime service operates and the route is well used.
