The middle section of Rodney Road presents a bleak aspect, with metal fences on both sides of the road. The left fence is at the perimeter of the Newport Athletic Club grounds, and further along, Rodney Parade rugby ground. The right fence is at the perimeter of the City Vizion construction site.
