Cottage Plantation is the wood in the centre foreground. West Wood is the wood beyond. The buildings on the right, just above the wood, are of Deanes School. The buildings on the lower right are a timber merchants on Daws Heath Road (not visible). The road in the lower left is Thorrington Avenue. Beyond the woods, the built-up areas are Hadleigh, with Thundersley to the upper right. The tower just visible before the haze in the upper left is the water tower at the top of Essex Way; see Image
