The photographer was standing at a spot that was once Derrick Street. This pub was first recorded in 1805 when its address was 61,Derrick Street. I have never been in the pub but in 1970 it was said that inside was the jaw bone of a whale. This is no doubt a souvenir of the whaling industry that sprung, close by in the docks, in 1725. The five side windows are additions since the 1970's.
