This is the church tower for the parish church at Elstow. Unusual as it is built separate from the main body of the church. Apparently when it was built in the medieval period, the ground was very boggy and the builders were not convinced that the footings would support the tower. Similar scenario to the church in nearby Martson Moretaine.
