Anti-social Behaviour within North and South Marine Park, Foreshore and Sea Front

Response (30 Aug 2024)

We have been working with partner agencies and the community to help identify those who cause the most harm. Once identified we have carried out home visits to ensure parents and guardians understand the impact this behaviour has on the local community. We have then offered diversionary routes to help prevent any further anti-social behaviour.

Anti-social behaviour within South Shields Interchange

Along with our partners at Nexus we continue to carryout hi-visibility reassurance patrols with extra patrols being carried out on a Friday and Saturday evening. This area is part of our Operation Shield area which means we can tap in to government funding to provide extra resources to the areas that need it most.

Anti-social Behaviour within Whiteleas and Biddick Hall area around Whiteleas Way and Galsworthy Road

This area also forms part of our Operation Shield area, We conduct regular foot patrols which focus on engagement with the local community and businesses. Our patrols directly address any ongoing anti-social behaviour with any follow up enforcement carried out by the neighbourhood policing team in conjunction with our partner agencies.
