We police over 1,500 square miles; are home to a significant transport network including the M27 and M3, key rail hubs and two international airports; and critical national infrastructure.
Basingstoke Rural South Neighbourhood
If you live in and around Whitchurch, Overton, Oakley and the Candover Valley you will now come under the new Rural South Neighbourhood area, the team comprises of myself based at Tadley with one PCSO and three PCs. The PCSOs will deal with local issues and engagements supported by the PCs who will address criminality and safeguarding the vulnerable. The West area and East area have a similar set up which means that when resources are required they can be moved around to support a policing need.
First point of contact for local issues should be through the PCSO team but feel free if you have any questions about the team or a particular problem to contact me via [email protected] or via the 101 system and I will get back to you. Please be reminded that the team work a variety of shifts and could be on rest days for 2 or 3 days.

Neighbourhood Officer Details
Police officer for over sixteen years, Sergeant for the last four and a half years, roles completed include, response, investigations, neighbourhoods and most recent role prior to taking on the role of rural Sergeant for Basingstoke was as a Custody Sergeant at the Northern Police investigation centre in Basingstoke.
I am responsible for overseeing the operational Policing for the Basingstoke rural area which covers a geographic area roughly the same size as the Isle of Wight. I supervise a team of Police Constables and Police community officers
Inspector GOUDIE is in overall command of the Basingstoke Rural NPT, he is responsible for the strategic oversight of local Policing for the area and holds PS EVANS to account in relation to the teams performance and delivery of local Policing
