Tackling ASB has emerged as the communities most pressing priority in our most recent community survey

Over October 2025 police are aware of elevated levels of ASB during the half term around the train station and surrounding street. PC Dixon has been working with local businesses and residents to identify those responsible with some success and is currently engaging those identified with youth services. We have increased patrolling through Halloween and Bonfire Night and have been liaising with British Transport Police in relation to concerns raised at the station- to see if we can assist in identifying any suspects they may have recorded on their systems.

At our most recent PACT survey in January 2026- Road Safety was highlighted as the communities most pressing concern- at the previous PACT following October half term ASB had been highlighted- levels have subsequently dropped.

PC Chloe Dixon & PCSO 5455 Charlie Tomlinson will conduct frequent patrols and enforcement operations, we receive numerous reports of some road safety issues that cannot be enforced by police- such as parking on double yellows and disabled bays and these are passed to the local authority
