1 Nov 2025

Residents raised concerns about vehicles blocking pavements and parking on yellow lines on Black Lion Lane.
This was causing obstructions for pedestrians and creating potential road safety hazards.

Response (1 Nov 2025)

The local policing team responded promptly by issuing parking notices to vehicles found blocking the pavements.
Additionally, Police liaised with Cheshire West and Chester council requesting road markings are reviewed and repainted where necessary, ensuring they remain visible and enforceable for council parking wardens.
These actions are part of our ongoing commitment to improving road safety and accessibility in Ledsham. By working together, we aim to create a safer environment for all road users, particularly pedestrians, wheelchair users and families with young children.

Residents reported that vehicles were continuing to park on Black Lion Lane, blocking the pavement and restricting the flow of traffic along the road.

Response (28 Jan 2026)

Local officers have provided increased attention to the area and issued advisory notices to any vehicles obstructing the pavement or parking inappropriately.
This action has helped prevent access issues on the road and ensured the footpath remains clear for pedestrians.
We will continue to work in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council to ensure road markings are re-painted where necessary, helping to keep them visible and enforceable for council enforcement officers.
