Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, what estimate he has made of the cost of (a) fraud and (b) financial error in his Department in each of the last five years.

Answer

There have not been any instances of fraud or financial error in the Wales Office in the last five years. The Wales Office has robust policies and controls in place to prevent fraud and error. These policies and controls are reviewed by both internal and external audit on an annual basis and to date no issues have been found.
