PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HIPPIES AND OTHER NEW AGE TRAVELLERS (18 June 1992)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the decision of the Department of the Environment to issue a consultation paper as soon as possible concerning the problems caused to innocent law-abiding citizens as a result of the behaviour of new age and other travellers and hippies, who invaded private land at Lechlade and elsewhere recently in both large and small groups; and looks forward to the opportunity to have a full debate on the Government's proposals on this subject in the near future so as to raise matters of importance on how best to deal with this growing problem.
