PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
PALACE OF WESTMINSTER DAY NURSERY (2 June 1992)
Motion Details
That this House believes that the ability of women, in particular, and parents in general, to fulfil their talents and seize opportunities in the jobs market and in the wider life of society depends, in good part, on affordable child-care provision; further believes that all those who work in the Palace of Westminster would greatly benefit from such facilities; commends, therefore, the 1991 decision of the House of Commons Services Committee that a day nursery be located in the Palace for the use of both honourable Members and staff; and calls upon the authorities to implement this decision as a matter of urgency.
