PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
URBAN PROGRAMME (18 November 1992)
Motion Details
That this House places on record its recognition of the importance of urban programme funding in improving the housing, social, environmental and economic circumstances of people in the most deprived communities within urban areas and, as a result, condemns unreservedly the Government's effective abolition of the Urban Programme with the ending of new commitments from April 1993 as an attack on those most in need; and further condemns the manner of the announcement hidden in the fine print of the Autumn Statement and dressed-up as part of a minuscule capital partnership proposal.
