EDUCATION CUTS IN WARWICKSHIRE (10 February 1993)

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'congratulates Warwickshire County Council on increasing its levels of spending in real terms on Warwickshire schools over the last three years and on its proposals for 1994, and in particular on the increases in budget for pupils with special needs; further congratulates the Warwickshire Education Authority, its heads, teachers and governors on achieving excellent examination results, for example: National Curriculum Key Stage 1; sixth highest out of 102 local education authorities, with 84 per cent. of children Level 2 or above, third highest for reading scores, and 18th out of 102 local education authorities at A level; and regrets the failure of the honourable Members for North Warwickshire and Nuneaton apparently to understand the developments now taking place in education within the county or the damage done to their constituents by publishing misleading information.'.
