PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
LAUNCH OF VIRGIN 1215 (28 April 1993)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the launch of Britain's second national commercial radio station, Virgin 1215; applauds the fact that it will be devoted to rock music which is enjoyed by millions of people and is one of Britain's most successful exports; and calls upon the Government to reconsider its decision to allocate it an AM frequency, which is less suited to a music station rather than an FM frequency which would ensure the highest quality of sound reception.
