PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ANTI-BULLYING WEEK, 21st TO 25th NOVEMBER 2005 (16 November 2005)

Motion Details

That this House recognises the damaging consequences of bullying in schools; demands that the Government uses Anti-Bullying Week to send a clear message to schools that bullying is a serious behavioural issue that must be tackled robustly and consistently; and calls upon schools to create a culture where incidents of bullying are not hidden or ignored but are properly investigated, to give full support to those who are subject to bullying, and to ensure that sanctions, including exclusions, applicable to all behavioural issues are applied to bullying.
