PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION AND THE SCOTTISH MEDIA (10 December 1996)
Motion Details
leave out from `gave' to end and add `believes that this incident demonstrates the contempt held by the Labour Party for the Scottish, English and welsh electorates; notes that the Right honourable Member for Sedgefield has been protected by skilful spin-doctoring, threates of interviews denied to unfriendly journalists and expensive image manipulation; believes that Scottish common sense can see through this smokescreen; and looks forward to the policies, judgement, strenghts and weaknesses of the Leader of the Opposition being fully tested by the media and the British people as well as a full examination of the blind funds that are paying for the image manipulation.'.
