Scalloway: postbox № ZE2 97, Blythoit
This small postbox serves the outer part of Scalloway which is separated from the rest of the town by the East Voe of Scalloway, which is behind the box. The name Blythoit is spelt Blydoit on the Royal Mail's list of boxes.
The box is emptied at 10am each day except Sunday.

Scord Quarry
The Scord Quarry is situated on the A970 on the approach to Scalloway from Lerwick. The Quarry has been in existence since the early 1930s. The rock is metamorphic schist and produces a hard and durable aggregate which is very suitable for road surfacing materials. The quarry also has an Asphalt plant and a bituminous emulsion production plant (https://www.shetland.gov.uk/roads/Scord_Quarry.asp Shetland Islands Council).
