Lerwick: houses in Holmsgarth
Looking landward from the Northlink ferry just before it departs for Aberdeen on a sunny evening. This terrace of houses runs up the hill between Holmsgarth Road and North Road and the pitch of the roof catches the evening sun, as does a large roof of a unit in South Gremista Industrial Estate, in the distance.

Fishboxes, Holmsgarth, Lerwick
Yellow plastic fishboxes at the LHD warehouse beside Holmsgarth jetty. One might assume that the L in LHD is Lerwick, but the company company began life in 1900 as Lowestoft Steam Herring Drifters Company Limited. It traded under that name until 1943 when the company became Lowestoft Herring Drifters Limited and continued under that name until 1970 when the name was changed to L.H.D Limited.
