Flaxley Road at Dam Bank
Dam Bank is the opening at the right hand side. The pair of cottages with white doors are marked on an 1849 town map as "Feoffees", who were responsible for the poor of the town and would have been let as charity housing.
There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3797432 in the centre of the façade of these two.

Dobsons Row
A row of early 19th A row of 7 (originally 8, but the nearest one was demolished at some stage to improve Millgate) cottages from the early 19th century off Millgate. They are Listed Grade II and have been carefully restored, even to the extent of being given a matching set of new tall chimney pots.

The old employment exchange
Built in 1934 in distinctive Ministry of Works style. Now taken over by a small industrial firm. The current jobcentre is in the building beyond.
