The Ouse River Bank
The river itself is obscured by heavy vegetation. Selby Abbey and a huge grain silo are both on the opposite side of this fast-flowing wide river.

Quay House, Selby
This now houses the offices for the mill behind, but was once a fairly grand riverside house dating from at least the early 19th century.

Westmill Foods, Selby
Formerly known as Yorkshire Ideal Flour Mills, this mill now mills and packs rice. The view of the surrounding countryside from the top of the silos is panoramic, as I found out as a young technologist working for ABF back in the late 1960's whilst carrying out a hygiene inspection of the site.
