Thirsk Station is on the main York - Newcastle line. GNER expresses hurtle through on the two centre tracks, whilst local trains use the 'slow' lines on either side.

Treske - offices and factory
Treske is a manufacturer of kitchens and upmarket furniture based at Carlton Miniott on the edge of Thirsk. The building was once shown on the OS map as 'maltings'.

Thirsk station, northward down the ECML, 1993
View NW, towards Northallerton, Darlington, Newcastle and Edinburgh: the 'racing-track', also the busiest, stretch of the ECML. Thirsk station had been completely rebuilt and the whole stretch quadrupled between 1933 and 1960.
