The old Methodist Chapel, now converted into a private residence, is on the west side of the village street. There is a benchmark cut into the 5th and 6th course of bricks on the right of the main door.

Dr Livingstone I Presume?
Probably as difficult to find Pickhill's pond as a benevolent Yorkshireman. In fact few residents are aware of its existence, choosing instead to spend their summer holidays frequenting the fleshpots of Thirsk.
