Pickhill's Old Vicarage
Pickhill's prettiest approach courtesy of the old vicarage. A damp, muddy lane and bare hedges do divert attention from the Christmas lights in the garden's shaped hedges.

Dr Livingstone I Presume?
Probably as difficult to find Pickhill's pond as a benevolent Yorkshireman. In fact few residents are aware of its existence, choosing instead to spend their summer holidays frequenting the fleshpots of Thirsk.

Fox and Hounds Cottages, Pickhill
The name of this row of cottages is a clue to their former use. Until the 1990's this was the Fox and Hounds pub.

The old chapel, Pickhill.
Search around most villages and you will come across a Methodist chapel. This one, dated 1861, has long been abandoned and is slowly decaying.

Pickhill, converted Methodist Chapel
The old Methodist Chapel, now converted into a private residence, is on the west side of the village street. There is a benchmark cut into the 5th and 6th course of bricks on the right of the main door, and under the right hand window.
