Field path rising towards Cleaves Wood
The path rising to Cleaves Woods is seen south of the buildings at Low Cleaves. It rises to pass through the trees beyond which it descends before rising again to Gormire Rigg which lies on the west side of Gormire Lake.

Colourful tree on a grey day
The autumnal colours on a pathside silver birch enliven an otherwise rather grey scene. Ahead is the Whitestone Cliff and the tumbled mass of trees and rocks below.

View towards the Whitestone Cliff
I note that this view is exactly the same as one taken by me in November 2017. On this occasion everything is looking much greener, although the angle of the sun means that the Whitestone Cliff is in the shade.
