View towards Boltby
A view looking north from the edge of the Hambleton Hills scarp. Down below is the pale gable end of Southwoods Hall, the original home of 'Siegfried Farnon' [real name Donald Sinclair] from the James Herriot books and TV series. In the distance is the village of Boltby nestling below forested hills.

Pond at Southwoods Hall
Not shown on the 50,000 or the 25,000 OS.Maps, this pond may have been created recently as a lot of work has been done to improve the farmland around here. It is in a natural setting in a glacial overflow, and has started to attract some wildfowl.
