Ox Moor Farm, Sowerby.
An attractive timber framed house, probably dating to the 17th century. The name suggests that the house was once attached to farmland, but behind the house now is all 20th century residential development.

Lansbury House
This was the house of Joan Maynard, 1921 - 1998, a passionate socialist, local councillor and JP. The blue plaque on the front wall also recognises her work championing the cause of agricultural workers, her role as a member of the Labour Party's NEC, her time as an MP from 1974 to 1987, her campaign to abolish the tied cottage system, and her support for a united Ireland.
