Re-laying cobbles in Thirsk
The distinctive cobbles are a long lasting traditional surface, but very labour intensive to install and refurbish from time to time.
The originals would probably have come from the River Swale to the west.

The Three Tuns Hotel, Market Place #1
A grade II listed hotel, which possibly dates from the C17, but C18 in the main. Constructed in brick, colour washed.
Thought to have been the Manor House previous to the building of Thirsk Hall in 1720. See Image
