Front Street Sowerby
The main street of Sowerby is lined with an attractive mix of houses of different periods. The fourth house from the right [with 'shop' window] was until recently the village store and post office, an unfortunate victim of government cuts.

The Altar and Chancel Crossing of St Oswalds Sowerby
The lantern above the chancel crossing was created in 1883 when restoration and repairs were carried out to St Oswalds. In the 1980s the free standing altar was created, which enables it to be removed for the many concerts that take place there. http://www.stoswaldsowerby.org.uk/history.shtml

Norman Doorway at St Oswalds Sowerby
