Milepost Ingramgate Thirsk
A rather nice cast iron milepost with attractive decoration on the main road from the centre of Thirsk towards York and Scarborough.

The old workhouse
The Thirsk Union House was built in 1838 to house 120 paupers. Quite an elegant building, now turned into apartments.
