Approaching Old Fold
The house at Old Fold occupies a very quiet position near the bottom of Cowhouse Bank. Nowadays it is almost surrounded by forestry plantations, but old maps reveal much more improved ground with open moorland on the far side of the beck.

Entrance to Old Fold
This photograph shows a view of the front entrance to an isolated cottage (Old Fold) near Cowhouse Bank Wood in the North York Moors. The picture was taken from the public footpath that passes in front of the cottage - looking in a north-easterly direction towards Lund Ridge.

Woodland path
A descending path through woodland towards the house at Old Fold. The path is good in places, such as here, but elsewhere can be a struggle through bracken or wet ground.
