Duncombe Park House and Northern Stable Block
Duncombe Park is situated one mile south-west of Helmsley, in 300 acres of parkland. The house was completed in 1713 for Thomas Duncombe. It was remodelled in 1843 by Sir Charles Barry. In 1879 the main block was gutted by fire and remained a ruin until 1895 when rebuilding was carried based on the original design. It is a Grade I listed building (List entry Number: 1295358 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1295358 Historic England).

Duncombe Park
There is some debate as to the exact age of this building and its architect. But probably dates from about 1710 with plans of Vanbrugh developed and implemented by William Wakefield.
