Path along the old railway track
This is a relatively recent addition to the local path network and isn't shown as a PRoW on my 2014 OS map. Some sections are on a wide track, but here the vegetation encroaches on the path.

Decent footpath along old railway track bed
This dismantled line was built in 1853 by the York, Newcastle & Berwick Railway on the Thirsk and Malton Branch. It closed to passengers in 1953 and closed completely in 1964.
