A private residence, built by the council in the 1950's with a benchmark cut into the brickwork about 2 feet from ground level.

St James, Boroughbridge - tower
The church was built in 1852, architects Mallinson and Healey, to replace an older one on a different site. It is grade 2 listed (list entry 1150092). I was not able to get far enough from the church to take a photo of the whole of it, because of trees surrounding it.
