Telephone Exchange, Holme-on-Spalding-Moor
Situated in Church View, a cul-de-sac of private dwellings, this modern TE would have replaced a smaller TE from the GPO era in the same locality. Besides Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, this TE also serves Everingham nearby. BT warning notices can be seen on this building whilst a BT vehicle is parked in front of it. This TE has (01430) 860xxx numbers, the (01430) referring to the Gilberdyke group of TEs, and its postcode is YO43 4BG.

The shortest way to the church
The church at Holme upon Spalding Moor stands o a hill a little out of the village. This is the shortest route there from the village if you are on foot but I suspect that most people go by car and take a longer route.

Holme Hall from Church Hill
Holme Hall dates from the early 18th century but has been much altered since, particularly in 1840. In this view, the house lines up nicely with the distant cooling towers and chimney of Drax power station.
