Handsome brick pub, built c1820 but its front rebuilt only around seventeen years later. Poor workmanship or rowdy clientele? Grade II listed.

Monk Bar
Monk Bar guards the approach from the north and north east and dates from the 14th century with later additions. Pre 1825 there would have been a barbican in front of the gate.
