St Giles' Church, Copmanthorpe
The church was built in about 1180, as a chapel in the parish of St Mary Bishophill Junior. It was restored and largely rebuilt during the late nineteenth century so there is little remaining to show its medieval origins. The church is a Grade II listed building (List Entry: 1166793 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1166793 Historic England)

Church of St Giles, Copmanthorpe
Rather like near neighbours in Askham Richard and Askham Bryan, this village church has origins in the 12thC, but like the others it has been much rebuilt in Victorian times and there is not much visible from the medieval period.
