Shops, Goathland
This small row of shops lie at the western end of the small village. There is something other-worldly about the place that may be connected to the presence of a couple of 1960s Ford Anglia police panda cars.

Heartbeat Police car
Goathland is the village which takes on the fictional name of Aidensfield in the nostalgic police series Heartbeat. This is one of the cars used in the series, parked here outside the Aidensfield Stores.

Aidensfield Stores and iconic 1960s police panda car
Goathland was the location for the filming of the TV series, Heartbeat, set in the fictitious village of Aidensfield. Two blue and white Ford Anglias were used in the show: the original LTT 930F was used until it was damaged during filming and was replaced by LAR 988C. The one parked here, WRO 509E, was never used in the show.

The Coastliner passes through Goathland
Besides the railway, Goathland is also served by a regular bus service running between Whitby and Leeds. This is the 15.33 from Goathland to Leeds, taken on a November afternoon.

Goathland
The tourist honeypot village of Goathland trades unashamedly on its TV persona as Aidensfield in the long-running series Heartbeat. The shops are full of Heartbeat souvenirs and one shop styles itself the 'Aidensfield Stores'. All very baffling for anyone unfamiliar with the programme.

Aidensfield Stores and Post Office
The village of Goathland was used as "Aidensfield" in the long running Yorkshire Television series "Heartbeat" which ran from 1992 to 2010. Two of the regular film locations were the Post Office and "Aidensfield Stores" in the centre of the village.
