Oakdene, Lythe
A long low stone built village house that certainly looks old. A check on the website for listed buildings in North Yorkshire reveals that it dates from the late 17th century. To the right is The Stiddy public house.

Village properties in Lythe
The pub sign and parking area here are misleading as the pub is across the other side of the main road whilst these properties are mostly private dwellings. I liked the appearance of this sturdy building, made of local sandstone and looking as though it dates from the first half of the 19th century. However it doesn't seem to be worthy of inclusion on the website for listed buildings in Lythe parish.
