Toll-gate for Dalby Forest
In the visitor-book in the local cottage in which I was staying, there were comments indicating annoyance at the parking rates here - seven quid is admittedly a bit steep if you just want to drop by for half an hour, but not-too-bad for a whole day out for a family. I suggest visiting a tourist information centre and picking up one of several leaflets which include money-off vouchers before arriving at the pay-point. (By the way, the whole area is free to those on foot.)

Dalby Forest Drive
£7 per car entrance fee. Walkers, cyclists and horse riders pay nothing to access the forest, and visitors arriving by Moorsbus need only pay for their bus ticket. The buses run on Sundays and bank holidays from (roughly) Easter to the end of October, and daily during the school summer holidays.
