The Beansheaf Hotel
This hotel was given a substantial refurbishment in 2006 under its new owner. It is located on the A169 Malton to Pickering road at the junction to Kirby Misperton and Flamingoland.

Old Milestone, on the A169, Malton Road
Located on the East side of road, just north of Bean Sheaf Lane. Cast iron post, Bedale rose casting design, erected by Malton & Pickering turnpike trust, 19th century. A short walk around the Vale of Pickering #134
The Blackboard pub on the main Malton to Pickering Road and my planed half way stop of today's walk. But because of feeling unwell due to a oncoming cold and the fact that a bus to York is due. I'm finishing my walk here today. Thank you for joining me on today's walk.

Old milepost
This milepost is on the A169 just north of Bean Sheaf Lane. It is an original North Riding CC post cast by F Mattison & Co. of Bedale. Their name is cast at the back of the left-hand side. It was painted in 2010 by two Milestone Society members. It was not spotted in 2022 but hopefully is still in situ.
