Brandsby Agricultural Trading Association headquarters. It has been supplying animal feed etc for all my life in Yorkshire, founded in 1894 as a farmers cooperative and still going strong

Old milepost
In March 2005 this milepost was found with most of it broken off, just the parts with the words MILES showing at the base of each side. In 2011 this new casting was made at Cleveland Corrosion Control funded by LEADER. It is on the east side of the unclassified road, Main Street, Amotherby near the bus-stop. Kirkbymoorside is now spelt wwith the second K.

Modern Milepost by Main Street, Amotherby Parish
Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of AMOTHERBY (RYEDALE District), Seven Wells, Main Street, near bus stop, near BATA Agricultural Products, in pavement, on East side of road. Replacement Bedale iron casting, erected by an unknown authority in the 21st century.
