A good house of c1742 made slightly top-heavy by the broad parapet added later in the C18th together with the doorcase (Image]). Grade II* listed.

The photo is roughly straight I think, it's the doorcase that slopes. Of a fairly standard Georgian type but an interestingly panelled door.

Toft Green Chambers, Toft Green, York
Essentially Georgian in character, but built c1845 as a pair of houses, the entrances at each end of the main front. Grade II listed.
I think at the time these were offices of the rail company Jarvis.

Viewed from near York Railway station. Built in Roman times, the walls added to and rebuilt over time and now have parts from across the centuries. Originally built as defences, the focus is now on conservation

Zapp family in York
Herman and Candelaria Zapp have spent the last 15 years travelling the world with their family in this vintage American car. They are seen here in Micklegate on the UK leg of their tour.
