Ramshill road, Scarborough
Looking down the A165 Ramshill road towards Valley Bridge, The grey 60s style building on the left-hand side of the photo houses the court offices amongst other things, and to my mind is hideously ugly. I look forward with anticipation to the day someone in authority agrees with me and it is demolished....

Junction of Valley Bridge Parade and Somerset Terrace
The road running across the photograph is Valley Bridge Parade with Somerset Terrace going off to the left. The terrace of houses and shops is off about 1865-70 although the red brick building is later ie 1920s. The low buildings around the planter are the portal entrance to Plantation Hill with shelters on the left in an adaptation of the Queen Anne style by W. Rickaby, about 1927.

Bench mark in Valley Bridge Road, Scarborough
This bench mark is next to a short flight of steps at the east end of the station. The padlocked iron gate suggests that this entrance is no longer used, at least not by passengers.
