The Leeds Arms
The similarly named Leeds Arms and Leeds Hotel public house are within dart throwing distance of each other in the oldest part of the town. The Leeds Arms is noted for real ale and for its annual pork pie competition which is open to men only. However, this is not a pie eating contest, but a pie making contest!

The Leeds Hotel
The Leeds Hotel is situated on West Sandgate in the old part of the town. It is said to date from 1693, although the frontage is a rather jolly Victorian style.
