The Smithy at Seisdon, Staffordshire
At the Seisdon end of Ebstree Road, this building has a particular claim to fame. The first Turner sports car was built by Jack Turner here. Production then moved for a short period to 32 Merridale Street, Wolverhampton around 1956, and then to its final location at Pendeford Airport near Wolverhampton in 1957/58. http://www.turnersportscars.co.uk/t_spec.html

Post Office, Stores and Off Licence
An endangered species, the local village post office is the only shop for miles. Confusingly this is not in Post Office Road.

The Smithy
In the late 1950s this was the home of the famous Turner Sports Car. The prototype was put together in the garage. Petula Clark was an owner of one in 1958. The marque was short lived as Turners went into voluntary liquidation in 1966.
